SideStash is developed and published by zerosix28. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
How the App Works
SideStash connects directly to your self-hosted Firefly III server. All financial data, transactions, and account information are stored exclusively on your own server infrastructure. zerosix28 does not have access to, collect, store, or process any of your financial data. The connection between SideStash and your Firefly III server is made directly from your device.
Information We Collect
Financial Data
We do not collect any financial data. All financial information remains on your self-hosted Firefly III server and never passes through our systems.
Advertising Data
If you use the free, ad-supported version of the app, our advertising partner Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized advertisements. This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Purchase Information
If you purchase the ad-free version, the transaction is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive or store any payment information.
Third-Party Services
The app integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob (free version only) — for displaying advertisements. See Google's Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — for processing in-app purchases
Data Security
Because your financial data is stored on your own self-hosted Firefly III server, security is primarily your responsibility. We recommend using HTTPS for your Firefly III installation and keeping your server software up to date. SideStash does not store your server credentials on our systems.
Children's Privacy
SideStash is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
- Ad-Free Option: Purchase the ad-free version to disable all advertising and associated data collection by AdMob.
- Data Deletion: Since we do not store your data, there is nothing to delete from our systems. To remove your financial data, manage it directly on your Firefly III server.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new effective date at the top of this document.
